Jerk For the Phillipines
A fundraising campaign for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)
As many as 10,000 fillipinos are feared dead in the wake of typhoon Haiyan, and many more have lost their homes. Your donation will go to Doctors Without Borders, an organization that is currently providing aid in the affected areas.
Please take the time to donate; every little bit helps! Locally, a 5-liter bottle of distilled/purified water retails at around P60 (US$1.40). 1kg of rice to feed a small family for a few days is P27 (US$0.63). A tin of sardines in tomato sauce (common emergency relief food) is P12.80 (US$0.30). A six-pack of instant noodles is P45 (about a dollar). Most relief organisations will be sourcing wholesale (at better prices) and will repack supplies into family-size packs.
